You will be a key contributor to CapitalPoint’s financial operations, responsible for a variety of technical accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. Your technical and organizational skills will ensure smooth and efficient processes. You will also be proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

You are comfortable working in a dynamic environment and enjoy collaborating with others to achieve optimal outcomes. You are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess strong analytical skills.

You will work on:

  • Supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes, including performing monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other financial records.
  • Evaluating existing processes and proposing improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy, including leveraging technology for process optimization.
  • Executing the day-to-day responsibilities of the Revenue and Receivables processes, including client billing and responding to client billing inquiries. Executing the day-to-day responsibilities of the Purchases and Payables process, including vendor payments and employee expenses.
  • Assisting with audits by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with external auditors.
  • Preparing and filing relevant tax returns. Supporting ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.

With the experience we think will help you succeed:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Active enrollment in or completion of a relevant professional designation (e.g., CPA, CFA).
  • 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting requirements. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in automating processes and improving efficiencies. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently. Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
